In Her Majesty’s Name is a miniatures war game that is set in a steam pink setting of 1895. Small bands of of figures are assembled to fight over the objectives you establish. This is a skirmish game where you will generally field not more than ten models per player. Written by by Craig Cartmell and Charles Murton the book totals 64 pages costs about 15.00 and is also available as a pdf. If you know of any book published by Osprey publishing you already know the quality you’re getting.

This Skirmish game can be bloody quick. I’ve had games last as little as 15 minutes or as long as an hour. Play is pretty smooth, it uses an alternate activation system where models take turns following the model play of move and shoot.

Well it’s the last day til Gen Con. It is going to be an amazing show. If you’re a Heavy Gear fan or interested in Heavy Gear I have one more thing to say. Today August 12th I will bring you a handful of videos on Heavy Gear including a Flip Through (4:00P.M. E.S.T.D. on YouTube) of the New Heavy Gear Blitz Beta Rules for Tabletop Wargaming. The Heavy Gear Blitz Beta Rules are the most anticipated event of the show for me.

Heavy Gear is a combined arms game that is set in the future, where humans pilot armored battle suits into battle. The settlers of Terra Nova have been cut off from earth and they struggle for political power. This often creates hostile actions that can lead to war.

The planet of Terra Nova isn’t too different from our Earth. It has jungles, forests, mountains, lakes, and a vast desert that runs through the center of planet that separates the north from the south.

Hey Friends,

Real soon we are going to launch our Kickstarter project the Convention Experience. While most of the details will be brought to you by the project I wanted to take some time and share with you why this is personal to me. Sometimes I feel that the blog is too impersonal and you don’t get to see how passionate I am. That is something that bothers me. This is my opportunity to share something with you that goes beyond mere coverage and start to make the change.

When I was challenged to start this blog by my friend, Ryan Hale, it was intended that the coverage was going to be news, reviews and the blending of real life with gaming. I think I’ve had some great successes and that I am still trying to find my footing in some areas. With almost 300 YouTube videos published it is clear where I’ve succeeded. But I feel a need to do more, I am going to return the original vision and add more real life to the blog. I really can’t think of a better place to start than Gen Con.
