Munchkin Christmas Lite

Munchkin Christmas Lite

Kick down the door! Defeat the monster! Take the treasure! Munchkin has been a gaming phenomenon for fifteen years, and now we’re giving you a great introduction to the game. Munchkin Christmas Lite is a standalone game, and can also be used as an expansion for existing Munchkin games!

Munchkin Kittens

Munchkin Kittens

$9.95

The ancient Egyptians worshipped cats.

Which clearly explains what happened to them. Cats may be cute, but they’ve got teeth, claws and siege weaponry? Munchkin Kittens has 30 new cards that some of you may be allergic to. Don’t be fooled . . . they’re adorable, but deadly!

This is an expansion for Munchkin. It is not a stand-alone game. This is NOT a collectible or randomized set. Every Kittens pack is the same as every other.

Steve Jackson Games Goes Mainstream With Munchkin Hipsters

AUSTIN, Texas ([INSERT DATE HERE], 2015) – Steve Jackson Games has a long history of making obscure boutique games, but all that’s changing with Munchkin Hipsters. In partnering with ThinkGeek, Steve Jackson Games ensures that Munchkin Hipsters will reach audiences everywhere, no matter what brand of locally sourced, organic coffee they enjoy (or pretend to enjoy).

Munchkin Hipsters is available first from ThinkGeek. This masterpiece of corporate brilliance is a 30-card booster with more hipster jokes than you can shake a mustache comb at.

“We love ThinkGeek and we’re really excited to be partnering with them on Munchkin Hipsters,” said Brian Engard, Marketing Director for Steve Jackson Games. “Also, on a more personal level, I’m really excited that we’re doing a booster about people like me. Or, you know, I would be, if I could show excitement and disaffected ennui simultaneously.”

About Steve Jackson Games

Its best-selling game is Munchkin, with almost 7 million copies of the games and supplements in print worldwide. Other top sellers are GURPS (the Generic Universal RolePlaying System), Zombie Dice, and Illuminati. Past hits have included Car Wars and Toon. Steve’s very first game, Ogre, originally released in 1977, drew almost a million dollars’ worth of Kickstarter support in 2012 for a super-deluxe edition, which was released in late 2013. Whatever.

munchkin steamMunchkin Steampunk Deluxe adds gears, goggles, and steam-powered robots to the backstabbing and goofy humor of the long-lived card game Munchkin, a game in which you kick down doors, battle monsters, gain treasure, and try to reach level ten before anyone else.

Munchkin Steampunk Deluxe is a standalone game, but it can be integrated with any Munchkin game or expansion.

Available for demo games at Gen Con 2015 ahead of its release in October 2015.

Why this?  I mean what makes another Munchkin game special?  For me it’s very much about the art.  I’m very curious to see what they are going to do with steampunk in Munchkin style.

Steve Jackson Games Pulls Back The Curtain On New Target-Exclusive Munchkin Release

Munchkin OzAUSTIN, Texas (July 20, 2015) – Steve Jackson Games is proud to announce that we’ll be travelling to the Land of Oz with a brand new Munchkin game: Munchkin Oz! Based on L. Frank Baum’s classic children’s books, Munchkin Oz blends the stories’ whimsical characters and places with Munchkin’s own brand of zany backstabbing. Munchkin Oz has started appearing on shelves at some Target locations and will be available throughout the country and on target.com in early August 2015. This is the second such exclusive release in partnership with Target, after Munchkin Legends (in Target in 2013, released widely in 2014).

Fans who follow the Yellow Brick Road to Target and purchase Munchkin Oz will want to look for Steve Jackson Games at conventions and keep a close eye on Warehouse 23 (warehouse23.com), where they’ll find silver shoes special promotional cards and other goodies from August through December!

“It has been a lot of fun to revisit those classic stories that have delighted children (and adults!) for over a century,” said Andrew Hackard, Munchkin Line Editor. “In developing the game, we went back to our own roots to allow the players to be Professors, Royalty, Soldiers, or (of course!) Wizards. We can’t wait for our fans to adventure alongside Dorothy, the Scarecrow, and all of Baum’s classic heroes.”
