Ronnie tells us about Dungeon Saga the Kings of war rules what’s new for Warpath and Daeadzone and the Dreadball ranking system that’s coming soon.

I played Dungeon Saga and it has a good feel to it.  What I mean by that is it’s not like some of the other dungeon crawl games on the market where you feel like your’e playing a board game.  In Dungeon Saga I felt like the mechanics blended well with the story too.   I will definitely be bringing more to you in the near future.

As part of Con survival week I’ve decided to share with you one of my favorite recipes for an energy/protein bar.  This Chocolate Cherry bare is simple to make and is far healthy for you than thos things you would by at your gas station.

It has a balance of protein, carbs, and fat that is just about right for me when I’m on the move or when I go longer between meals than I should.

I hope to see you at Gen Con, and I have to thank all of my kickstarter backers for inspiring me to make this happen it was a lot of fun.

CHICAGO, IL (July 22, 2015): Last year, Team Warpo attended Gen Con having just completed their successful Kickstarter to create the retro action figure line, Legends of Cthulhu, which has now become truly legendary. This year, Warpo returns to Gen Con as a proud recipient of Gen Con’s Marketing Fellowship, with a booth filled with Cthulhu activities and the critically acclaimed Legends of Cthulhu action figures, and as host of the epic Cthulhu All-Stars Summit, which will culminate in a live séance for the ghost of H.P. Lovecraft.

Warpo, along with co-sponsor Paizo, has assembled some of the industry’s leading Cth-experts to host the first Cthulhu All-Stars Summit, taking place Saturday at Noon in Paizo seminar room #233. Join moderators Paizo creative director James Jacobs and Warpo president Bryan Katzel, along with Sandy Petersen, Kenneth Hite, and occult expert Brandon Hodge, as they discuss the impact of H.P. Lovecraft’s stories and characters on popular culture and their work. The panel will hold some fantastic surprises, prizes, and will culminate with a live séance conducted by Brandon Hodge to entice Lovecraft himself to join the festivities.

Gen Con attendees will want to visit the Warpo booth (#2939 in the Exhibit Hall), where they will be greeted by the mighty Cthulhu himself, get their picture taken in front of the giant photo wall than puts them inside their own action figure packaging, and collect all four free daily Legends of Cthulhu buttons. Gen Con fans will also get their first look at the new 12” Cthulhu Standard Edition, 12” Cthulhu Glow in the Dark Edition, and the Legends of Cthulhu Collector Club Kit, all of which will be on display in the Warpo booth, and the full line of Legends of Cthulhu 3.75” action figures and select Kickstarter premiums, such as the LoC coloring book and posters, will be available for purchase.

Creative Coterie: TEGG and Twin Fire Join Forces

TORONTO and DETROIT—The Ed Greenwood Group (TEGG) and Twin Fire Productions (TFP) today reached a creative coterie, a partnership, with The Archmage himself, Mr. Ed Greenwood.

In 2014, TFP unveiled an ingenious board game called Folklore: The Affliction, a release that was received with great critical acclaim as well as broad public support. As TFP finishes polishing and tweaking the game in time for a spring 2016 release, creative director Will Donovan will be working with Ed Greenwood on initializing two new aspects to the game: first, a series of roleplaying game (RPG) adventures; second, a series of novels from TEGG authors tied to the setting Folklore: Tales of the Affliction. Both aspects will use characters from the existing board game and also feature new characters in new adventures from the TEGG Sessorium of Creatives. Greenwood and Donovan will work together to guide the continuing folklore adventures in both the fiction and RPG lines.

“I grew up reading books and playing adventures written by Greenwood… That he loved what we created was awesome…that we now get to create together is incredible! The creative opportunity to extend our realm’s reach by adding novels and RPG adventures by working with Steven Schend and Ed Greenwood is fantastic,” said Will Donovan, creative director at TFP. “We’ve already got some great ideas flowing—the fans are going to be well pleased.”

The Ed Greenwood Group, a new transmedia publishing company from the creator of the Forgotten Realms®, launches this fall with its first novel, a brand-new Ed Greenwood title. Your World Is Doomed is the first novel in an urban fantasy setting called Hellmaw; 6 story arcs, 86 novels, 14 anthologies, 5 games, and 9 Artifacts are planned between Mr. Greenwood’s first novel in 2015 and the end of the sixth story arc, projected for October 2022. Next year (2016) will see the launch of a more traditional sword-and-sorcery setting code-named Pony Island Adventures. More settings in more genres will follow over the next ten years—For Wolf & Empire (steampunk), Lost Princesses of Mars (space opera), and In So Deep (sex fantasy), to name only a few. Quickblade, designed by TEGG head of game development Steven Schend and Ed Greenwood, is The Ed Greenwood Group’s RPG house rules and will serve as a master rules set for all adventures from all settings.

“I love what the gang at Twin Fire have done thus far,” said Ed Greenwood, president and publisher at TEGG. “It’s really beautiful stuff all around, and I am very much looking forward to working and creating both stories and adventures with them. This is going to be fun!”
