DYNAMITE TO LAUNCH NEW PATHFINDER COMIC SERIES
Based on the World’s Best-Selling Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Pathfinder Iconic Heroes Return with New Adventures in Pathfinder: City of Secrets
Dynamite Entertainment and Paizo Inc. announce the return of Pathfinder Comics with a new series, Pathfinder: City of Secrets., out in local comic stores and digitally May 2014.
Pathfinder: City of Secrets #1 is written by returning superstar writer Jim Zub, with interior art by Leandro Oliveira and cover art by Genzoman, Carlos Gomez, Sean Izaakse and Steven Cummings. This issue marks the beginning of a new adventure series and is the perfect starting point for new readers. Each issue also includes an exclusive Pathfinder Roleplaying Game encounter, and a bonus playable tactical map/art poster. In Pathfinder: City of Secrets #1, the Pathfinder heroes head to the city of Magnimar, and danger isn’t far behind. As the wizard Ezren seeks an audience with the Pathfinder Society, his adventuring allies explore the city’s ancient magic, well-hidden secrets, and deep political divides. The dangers and opportunities of the big city could bring the adventurers closer together–or tear them apart!
In celebration of the new series’ release, and in conjunction with New Comic Book Day, Dynamite and Paizo will be organizing special in-store Pathfinder game events, in which chosen local comic stores will become part of the story and game play. Comic shops interested in participating should contact their local Dynamite rep. Further, Pathfinder fans can have their character immortalized with game statistics and an original illustration in the special “Heroes of Magnimar” game supplement, part of the Pathfinder: City of Secrets collection. In this Flip Through Matt takes a look at some of the highlights offered by the Inner Sea NPC Codex. The Inner sea Codes is produced by Paizo Publishing for the Pathfinder RPG. Unlike the first NPC codex that focuses on the core classes The Inner Sea NPC Codex focuses on the flavor of certain “factions”. For example this book contains templates for The Grey Gardner and the Red Mantis Assassin. Both of which have become an important part of the Pathfinder world.

In this Flip Through Matt walks you through some of the cooler creatures in Pathfinder’s Bestiary 4. He Chats a little bit on the Nosferatu, Cthulhu, Grendel, Kaiju, and the Formians. In the process of page surfing Matt tries not to spoil things too much, but he does share a more detail than normal on some of the classic creatures in this book.
I am quite happy with the Bestiary 4. Especially the Formians, I’m so impressed with them they have earned a home in my very own campaign world.
Matt takes a quick look at the Mythic Realms book for the Pathfinder RPG from Paizo. It is a small book wit a lot of background so Matt really tries to focus on giving a general overview without spoiling the contents. What he does focus on is the flow of the book and the excellent imagery presented by Paizo.

In this Flip Through Matt takes you through the Mythic Origins book for Pathfinder. This book explains how to make your character become the tales of bardic songs. Some of the paths, include becoming a herald, a godling, or simple following an archmage path. The book also includes new spells and new effects for currents spells cast by mythic characters.

PAIZO PUBLISHING OPENS WORLDWIDE PLAYTEST FOR PATHFINDER RPG: ADVANCED CLASS GUIDE
Developer of the World’s Best-Selling RPG Calls on Players Worldwide to Help Shape the Game’s New Rulebook
REDMOND, WA (November 19, 2013): Paizo Publishing, LLC, publisher of the world’s best-selling Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, today launches a worldwide open playtest for the forthcoming Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Advanced Class Guide hardcover rulebook.
Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Advanced Class Guide introduces ten new classes to the Pathfinder RPG, each offering new opportunities and abilities, and supported with a wealth of new rules, archetypes, feats, spells and magic items. The new classes include arcanist, bloodrager, brawler, hunter, investigator, shaman, skald, slaver, swashbuckler, and warpriest.
“Nothing gets Pathfinder players excited like new classes,” said Paizo Publisher Erik Mona, “but since the rules for class design touch almost every aspect of the Pathfinder rules system, it’s more important than ever that we put them through their paces with a rigorous playtest. I can’t wait to see how Pathfinder players respond to what our designers have come up with, but more importantly, I can’t wait to see how player comments and feedback make them even better!”
Participants in the playtest will be able to download and review all ten new classes, use them in their games, or pit them against monsters and other foes to test the power, balance, and overall clarity of the new classes. Via the paizo.com messageboards, playtesters can directly communicate with the Pathfinder RPG design team and other players, helping to polish and refine the classes, while also taking part in surveys and brainstorms to help make the Advanced Class Guide a seamless addition to the Pathfinder RPG.
The playtest is now open to all via a free download from paizo.com, and will end on December 20, 2013. Pathfinder RPG: Advanced Class Guide is slated for an August 2014 release.
