The Price of Infamy

$ 19.99 SRP

Slated for August

The adventurers now have their own island and port, but they’ll need more than one ship to defend it. They must scour the harbors and docks of the Shackles to recruit more ships and more crews to their flag. But when a rival from their past sends a fleet to attack them, they must defend their island home. And when they sail to his island to get their revenge, the adventurers discover a traitor whose betrayal threatens all of the islands of the Shackles. “The Price of Infamy” is a Pathfinder Roleplaying Game adventure for 11th-level characters. This volume continues the Skull & Shackles Adventure Path, delving into the secrets of the deadly cult of Norgorber, god of thieves and assassins, along with presenting new rules for battles between whole pirate fleets. New monsters from the depths of the sea and exotic islands fill the Pathfinder Bestiary, while Robin D. Laws (author of the Pathfinder Tales novel The Worldwound Gambit) continues his tale of pirates and lost treasures in the Pathfinder’s Journal.

Paizo Adds Adam Daigle to Game Staff

Popular freelance designer to become Pathfinder Adventure Path Developer

February 27, 2012 (REDMOND, Wash.) – Paizo Publishing announces the addition of popular freelancer Adam Daigle to its in-house game design and development staff, effective March 15. Daigle will work with Pathfinder Creative Director James Jacobs and Developer Rob McCreary on Paizo’s popular monthly Pathfinder Adventure Path campaign supplements, as well as other projects.

As a freelancer, I’ve loved working with this crew in helping to build the world of Golarion and Pathfinder Roleplaying game, but that pesky day job kept getting in the way of giving more,” said Daigle. “I’m thrilled to be able to accept this position to give my full attention to this fantastic game and its community. This personal life transition was partially facilitated by the sage words of Hunter S. Thompson, ‘When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.’”

I’ve worked with Adam for years already—he’s been a contributor to numerous Paizo products as a freelancer, from smaller works like Pathfinder Bestiary monsters to larger projects like Lost Kingdoms or big Adventure Path articles,” said Paizo Creative Director James Jacobs. “The imagination, skill, and just plain-old professionalism Adam brings to each of his assignments would in and of itself have ensured him a constant role in Pathfinder products to come, but now that he’s joining Paizo as a full-time developer, you’ll see his handiwork in every product we produce—particularly in the Adventure Paths, where his assistance and input will be most welcome indeed!”

The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game is a fully supported tabletop RPG, with regularly released adventure modules, sourcebooks on the fantastic world of Golarion, and complete campaigns in the form of Pathfinder Adventure Paths like Skull & Shackles and The Rise of the Runelords. The Pathfinder RPG is also compatible with the 3.5 edition of the world’s oldest roleplaying game.

For more information about Pathfinder, please visit paizo.com/pathfinder.

I think this is very exciting.  Adam has been doing work as a freelancer for sometime.   I haven’t seen all of it, but I have like everything I have seen.  Here is a link to his past work.

Finalists to Design Original Encounters by End of Week

February 21, 2012 (REDMOND, Wash.) – Eight amateur game designers have advanced to Round 4 of Paizo Publishing’s RPG Superstar, the largest open-call tabletop roleplaying design contest in history. Celebrity judges Sean K Reynolds from Paizo, Necromancer Games president Clark Peterson, Goblinworks CEO Ryan Dancey, and RPG Superstar 2009 winner Neil Spicer critiqued the Pathfinder campaign-setting-specific creatures from Round 3 before public vote determined the 8 semifinalists.

I’m really impressed with the results so far,” said Sean K Reynolds. “The monster round had many excellent submissions, and several of them are practically ready for publication. Each round we see the voters selecting the most talented competitors for the next challenge, and the best designers step up and meet that challenge.”

The Top 8 finalists for RPG Superstar 2012 and their winning entries to date are:
