Last week we had the chance to play at the launch party and let me tell you Beep Beep Attack is well worth the cost of a starter. We played for four hous or so and I practically had to dag my boys to the van.
Enough about the fun. Beep Beep Attack has a perfect blend of game mechanics and critical thinking that make it a fun challenge all the time.

Capture isn’t a “War game” it’s a family strategy board game, with a simple but timeless game play that feels like a classic game, that we just never got to play! Capture grew from Andrew’s desire to make a next generation strategy board game in the 1980s, and the elegant replayable design certainly seems to have stood the test of time; though it has never been published (after some very close calls!)

In this box Breaking Matt Takes a look at Nano Bots from Derpy Games. Nano bots is a card game the incorporates simple mechanics to create great game strategies.
I first played Nanobots at Origins while they were running their Kickstarter. We managed to learn and play a game in less than 30 minutes.
Dark Gothic is card game based on American Gothic Horror from Flying Frog Productions. This game uses resource management in a unique that also incorporates deck building and management.
After getting use to the concept of building and thinning your deck during game play I found Dark Gothic to be very entertaining.

Red7 is a 49 card, quick playing game by Carl Chudyk and Chris Cieslik that is easy to teach, quick to learn, and fun for all skill levels of card game players!
The cards are numbered from 1 to 7, and feature the seven colors of the rainbow (ROYGBIV). Each set of colors has the unique ability to change the game’s current rule set to make a player’s hand the current winner. If you’re not winning the current game at the end of your turn, you’re out and the last person standing wins the round!
The cards are labeled with unique iconography that allow the game to be color-blind friendly too.
