SHADOWS OF ESTEREN ANNOUNCES FIRST GRAPHIC NOVEL
PARIS, FRANCE (November 15, 2016) – With 2 days left to go in the successful Kickstarter campaign, Agate RPG is thrilled to announce the first graphic novel based on the award-winning Gothic horror RPG Shadows of Esteren has been unlocked for backers and offers a first look of the book with the attached preview pages. The graphic novel, Yldiane, will serve as an introduction to the forthcoming Shadows of Esteren video game, The Mac Lyrs’ Legacy.
The graphic novel, written by Emmanuel Roudier and Shadows of Esteren creative director Nelyhann, with illustrations by Roudier, will follow will follow Yldiane returning home to Melwan to find her world has changed and reflects events depicted in the 3 scenario from SOE: Book 0 Prologue.
A Kickstarter “Staff Pick” and already having raised nearly 750% of its fundraising goal with two days to go in the campaign, the Shadows of Esteren: Dearg Kickstarter has also unlocked approximately 50 printed game aids, Dearg dice, a map of Dearg and a promotion for local game shops. The Dearg Kickstarter is now live and runs through November 17th, 2016.
Shadows of Esteren: Dearg puts players at the heart of the game’s narrative in a 500-page, hardcover essential rulebook to be published in two volumes. With innovative new game mechanices and concepts designed to put players face to face with their inner demons, their own personal stories will become critical components of the game’s dramatic tension.
