WW1 Rules and Accessories Pack Wings of Glory is a game system that allows players to recreate aerial combat during World War I and II, using cards and miniatures to represent the airplanes and their maneuvers. In Wings of Glory players will control one or more airplanes, taking to the skies to engage their opponents in aerial duels, or trying to accomplish a specific mission, such as recon, escort, or bombing. This WW1 Wings of Glory Rules and Accessories Pack is a complete game system, that includes all the rules and accessories necessary to play the WW1 version of the game system. Players will find the core WW1 rules system presented in a beautiful 48-pages color booklet – Basic, Standard, Advanced, and a wealth of Optional rules. Also included are all the rules and counters necessary to use special models (such as multi-engine bombers and balloons) and special weapons (anti-aircraft, rockets and incendiary bullets). The pack also features four decks of Damage Cards (A, B, C, D); Target, Trench, Machine Gun, Anti Aircraft Guns and Bomb cards; four airplane consoles, two rulers and counters. Mage Wars is a tactical board game, a combination of a card game and miniatures game, combining the best elements from each game. The game is played on an arena game board which is divided into square areas called “zones”. Zones regulate movement and placement of objects. Each Mage (player) starts in a corner of the arena, opposite his enemy. Each player holds a spellbook, from which spell cards are pulled out as they are cast during the game. This has the feel of being a real Mage, turning the pages of your tome of magic, as you plan your strategy each turn. You have full access to cast any spell you want each turn, allowing for an unprecedented level of rich strategy and tactics.

Goblinworks Announces the Pathfinder Online Technology Demo Kickstarter Project

Thornkeep RPG book by Rich Baker is part of the Kickstarter

Goblinworks Inc. is proud to announce our first Kickstarter project for the Pathfinder Online MMORPG. The Pathfinder Online Technology Demo Kickstarter will help Goblinworks finance the creation of a Technology Demo that we can use to show investors what Pathfinder Online will look like. Successful funding of this Kickstarter will also demonstrate the community’s desire and excitement for Pathfinder Online.

In addition to an exclusive long video of the Technology Demo, the main reward for the Kickstarter Project is a 64-page book called Thornkeep. The first 32 pages comprise a Pathfinder Roleplaying Game sourcebook for Thornkeep, one of the three starting locations in the Pathfinder Online MMO. This section is written by veteran RPG designer Rich Baker. The second 32 pages are written by the Goblinworks staff and will provide readers with a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Pathfinder Online.

There are a variety of rewards available to backers who pledge from $5 to $5,000, ensuring that there is a reward level suitable for any pocketbook.

Double Take

Double Take is a charades game built for two, so to speak. Each round, time willing, two players will present clues for a half-dozen familiar phrases that all have something in common. A sample category, for example, is “Something’s Wrong” with the words to be guessed being divided as:

Play | Foul
In the Closet | Skeleton
Sheep | Black
Gun | Smoking

Each clue giver acts out one side of the card, and since they’re facing the guessers, the phrases will be acted out in left-to-right fashion (“Black Sheep”, “Smoking Gun”, etc.) If someone guesses one side of the card, that player scores – but the clue givers score only after both sides of a phrase have been guessed, so they need to work together – but separately – to make their clues clear.
