This is another game by Mantic Games. I don’t know too much about it, in fact I even missed the Kickstarter. I know that it was a huge hit, like all the games they make. This is a bit different though it features the characters from the comic book.
Check out the kickstarter, “The team will be taking pre-orders ahead of the retail release and you will be able to have a look through a production copy of the game. If you swing by stand 833 you can also pick-up your own free Walker figure – but be quick, because numbers are limited. ” That’s from the Mantic Games news letter.
And please check out my Gen Con Go Fund Me. Just sharing will be a huge help.
Student Bodies is a cut throat zombie game designed by Michael Grenier and Matthew Regney. Published by Smirk and Dagger Games, it’s recommended for two to five players ages ten and up. I would say that the cut throat style of play in this game leads to a slap in the face kind of motif.
In Student Bodies you and your peers are faced with the dilemma of escaping the highschool during a zombie apocalypse. The problem is that there are so many zombies you first need to get to the chem lab and create an antidote or in game terms find it. Then you have to make a dash across the campus to escape out the front door after dodging a shambling mound of zombies without getting bitten. Don’t worry too much about being bit, if you’re turned into a smart zombie and can still win by eating other players, which I find to be a rather fun and redeeming factor when there are more than two players.
In this Figure Forge Matt shares with you the ease of assembling two of the female Apocalypse survivor figures from Wargames Factory.
Women with guns are always cool!

Rise of the Zombies All players play cards during a common “Survivor Turn”. Declare which card you are playing, and which zombie you are attacking, and roll dice. This simulates the chaos of combat. Most cards can be used to perform more than 1 function. You can perform as many actions during the Survivor Turn as your cards can support. You can even trade weapons and items with other Survivors in your Location. Once all players have resolved their actions, the Zombies get to attack. It then starts again with the common Survivor Turn. You’ll need to not only act like a hero, but also work well as part of your co-operative team if you hope to survive. If you go running off ahead and no one else has the cards to follow, you’ll be fighting a herd of Zombies on your own – and probably dying. On the other hand, if you can’t keep up with the other Survivors, you’ll soon hear words like, “You wait right here, we’ll come back for you.” Um, yeah.
COMBAT Combat is fast and easy. Roll a 6-sided die, add your bonuses and check your Weapon card to see how many Wounds you inflicted. The higher you roll, the more Wounds you inflict. If you inflict the killing attack on a Zombie card, you claim the card and its Experience value.
EXPERIENCE Turn in your Zombie cards to upgrade weapons, buy items, and purchase skills. How you play the game is up to you. You don’t gain anything by having other Survivors die, but if you spend too much time trying to help others, it might cost you your own survival. Help them? Leave them behind? It’s all up to you.
I don’t you about but this game has zombies so Dan Verssen Games has one I need to play

In City of Horror, you’re playing a group of humans faced with a zombie invasion. The struggle against the dead is important, but your own survival is vital! To win, you’ll have to make alliances but also betray your companions. A game is played over 4 turns. Each turn represents one hour of time before reinforcements arrive. These turns are played out similarly: zombies arrive, players move one of their characters and then each location is resolved (power and attack). At the end of the 4 turns of play, the player with the most victory points (characters, food and antidote) wins the game. But be careful: to get into the helicopter, the players will have to make sure each of their living characters has been vaccinated. The box contains: 7 site tiles; 3 road tiles and a water tower area; 1 water tower; 21 character cards; 21 character tokens; 1 woman with baby character token; 40 zombie tokens; 30 colored bases; 36 movement cards; 40 action cards; 20 invasion cards; 6 explosion markers; 1 starting player marker; 12 food tokens; 16 antidotes; 1 zombie leader marker; 3 caches to be used when parties to less than 6 players; and 6 markers to indicate the color of the player.
