AUSTIN, Texas (November 4, 2016) – A new Munchkin-inspired game will let families with young kids explore Wonderland in a game that plays like a friendlier, simpler version of classic Munchkin.
In Munchkin Wonderland, players wander a whimsical landscape fighting enemies such as the the Queen of Hearts, the Cheshire Cat, or the Jabberwock. They’ll get help from classic characters such as the Dormouse, March Hare, and Alice herself using weapons like the Vorpal Blade and Six Impossible Things Before Breakfast.
One of the great things about Gen Con is that so many new games make their debut, I suspect around one hundred every year. One of those games this year is Grimslingers from Greenbrier Games. Stephen Gibson is both the artist and the creator.
This is another game by Mantic Games. I don’t know too much about it, in fact I even missed the Kickstarter. I know that it was a huge hit, like all the games they make. This is a bit different though it features the characters from the comic book.
Check out the kickstarter, “The team will be taking pre-orders ahead of the retail release and you will be able to have a look through a production copy of the game. If you swing by stand 833 you can also pick-up your own free Walker figure – but be quick, because numbers are limited. ” That’s from the Mantic Games news letter.
And please check out my Gen Con Go Fund Me. Just sharing will be a huge help.

This expansion requires Conflict of Heroes: Awakening the Bear.
While Munchkin Steampunk Deluxe releases in many local game stores in August, it’ll see a wider release to the hobby in October. Then, in 2016, you’ll start to see it filter into stores like Target and Barnes & Noble.

Heath from Altered Reality tells us about the Gods and Monsters game live on Kickstarter. These figs are beautiful and huge!
I had the chance to watch this at Gen Con and it looks promising. I would have filmed it for you but my camera was out of juice.
Duncan Molloy is the lead game designer for Osprey Publishing. I caught him at Origins to talk about some of their newest games. They Come Unseen has a really cool history.
I’m really looking forward to They Come unseen. I’m a big fan of hidden movement games, it creates some suspense.
Hello gamers, and welcome to Con Survival week! What is Con Survival week? Well it’s my tips and tricks for returning home safe from your journey without the dreaded con crud that slowly gnaws at your soul once you’ve returned. No seriously, it is about how to survive without too many health issues.
Over the next week, I’ll be sharing with you all kinds of tips that I have learned over the years through one experience or the other. I will be pulling on memories from just about everything I’ve ever done – marksmanship, cross country, MMA, conventions, and judging several Magic events that lasted whole weekends. All of these will come into play as we discuss everything from the most basic safety tips to eating right and getting a good night’s rest before driving home. Oh and I nearly forgot, I’ll be sharing some recipes too!
In this video Matt takes a look at using Magnets on his autumn trees terrain piece from Gale Force 9. I’m really glad that I did this with rare earth magnets, just make sure you use the slightly larger ones.
I still have some painting to do on this, but i would say it’s about 80% complete.
