city of locusts Wrath of the Righteous 6: City of Locusts

$22.99

The Wrath of the Righteous Adventure Path concludes with “City of Locusts,” a thrilling climax by fan-favorite author Richard Pett! The heroes of the Fifth Crusade have risen to heights of power undreamed of and have dealt blow after blow to the demonic armies of the Worldwound. As they return to Golarion from the Abyss, though, they find that their enemies are no longer sending minions after them, they’ve drawn the attention of not only the leaders of the Worldwound, but that of their demonic patron, Deskari, Lord of the Locust Host. The method for closing the Worldwound permanently lies within the heroes’ grasp, but in order to do so they must venture where no crusader has ever returned from intact. They must enter the crumbling City of Locusts to defeat its demonic ruler, but even this is but a stepping stone to the final battle against Deskari himself!

“City of Locusts” is a Pathfinder Roleplaying Game adventure for 18th-level characters who have gained nine mythic tiers. The adventure utilizes rules from Mythic Adventures in order to portray a campaign of truly epic potential. An exploration of the apocalyptic cult of Deskari, along with an article filled with suggestions for how to both continue this campaign and to launch a new one in the transformed Worldwound after the heroes succeed (or perhaps fail) round out this volume, along with a bestiary of several monsters (including the final demon lords to be presented during the campaign!) and part six of Robin D. Laws’s Pathfinder Journal novella!

Mad cityFG4133-cxWelcome to Mad City, where we take zoning very seriously. We’re just not very good at it.

Take on the role of city builders as you race against time and other developers, and strive to build the most lucrative city.  Arrange your city tiles in order to score for Residential, Industrial, and Urban areas.  Do you dare boast that you have the largest communities or show off your roadwork skills in order to score bonus points? Or do you play it safe to avoid the shame of being wrong? If you’re a really efficient builder, you can wrap up your building projects before your opponents and be the only one to score bonus points from your city’s ponds and parks.

Score your districts!  If you choose to focus on particular areas, you will become more efficient at building those types of districts. Clear away all the red tape and you’ll be on your way to building an empire! Or at least a really nice city.

Play the solo variant of this game to test your building prowess against The Grid!

Are you ready to build Mad City?!? Then get to work… you only have 1 minute to do it!

In this Flip Through Matt walks you through some of the cooler creatures in Pathfinder’s Bestiary 4.  He Chats a little bit on the Nosferatu, Cthulhu, Grendel, Kaiju, and the Formians.  In the process of page surfing Matt tries not to spoil things too much, but he does share a more detail than normal on some of the classic creatures in this book.

I am quite happy with the Bestiary 4.   Especially the Formians, I’m so impressed with them they have earned a  home in my very own campaign world.

The Black Wolf Naval Battle Group for Dystopian Wars

Dystopian Wars, Spartan Games  Comments Off on The Black Wolf Naval Battle Group for Dystopian Wars

DWEX14The Black Wolf Naval Battle Group

Led by the ruthless “Black Wolf” Captain Vladimir Nikonov, this mercenary fleet strikes fear into the hearts of Admirals the world over. Selling his services to the highest bidder the Black Wolf is a hunter without equal, excelling at coordinating his ships in lightning fast assaults to cripple the enemy before they know what has hit them. Spearheaded by the Death Bringer Class Submarine, frequently commanded by Nikinov himself, this Fleet of hardened warriors strikes hard at the enemy. First, the devastating gunnery of the Nemesis Class Battle Cruisers and the maneuverable firepower of the Fury Class Corvettes softens the enemy, weakening their defenses and leaving them disorientated and reeling. Then the Reaper Class Attack Drone-Subs deployed by Manticore Class Support Skimmers close in for the kill, in support of the Death Bringer itself. Together, these Submarines blast asunder the remaining enemy ships as they attempt to flee from the awesome might of the Black Wolf Battle Group.

Contains: 1 Death Bringer Class Large Submarine, 2 Acrylic Echo Templates, 2 Nemesis Class Battle Cruisers, 2 Manticore Class Support Skimmers, 12 Reaper Class Attack Drone-Subs, 8 Fury Class Corvettes and 10 Tiny Flyer Tokens. Models supplied unpainted and unassembled.

Captain Vladimir Nikonov had a reputation as a daring and unconventional officer even before joining the Russian White Navy’s submarine development programme in 1861.  He had honed his skills as a destroyer commander, running ‘unofficial’ covert missions in the Black Sea against the Ottoman navy, as part of the Stavka high command’s brief to assess the defences of the Dardanelles.  However, such skills also inflated Nikonov’s substantial ego. Wiry of build, dark-haired and charismatic, his subordinates nicknamed him ‘Black Wolf ’ for both his appearance and hunting prowess. He came to think of himself as more of a corsair than a naval officer; styling himself upon such piratical legends as Blackbeard Teach and Sir Francis Drake.
