In this Box Breaking Matt takes a look at the two player starter for HALO Ground Command from Spartan Games.

I have played HALO Ground Command and I like it.   I find it to be a game that can easily be casual or competitive, and that’s a hard balance to find with miniatures.

Anti-Hero dungeon crawl coming to Kickstarter

Ain’t no Heroes in this game, you play a band of Blackroot Orcs delving dungeons for loot and teef, that’s right you are smashing in the faces of your enemies for teef! The tile based game is designed and illustrated by artist Ian Schofield (Achtung! Cthulhu, Mutant Chronicles, Terra Tiles: Misty Moorlands and Coasts & Rivers). Sword Coast Adventurer’s Guide is 160 pages of material that can be broken down into three sections: the history and geography of Forgotten Realms, a tour of Sword Coast, and descriptions of what characters are like in the Realms with some game mechanics. As a whole the book is not up to par with its price tag, but that doesn’t mean it’s worthless – I have found more than a few morsels in this book, but the “morsels” are the exception in this book. I feel it struggles with being an adventurer’s guide while trying to become a campaign book.
