CHICAGO, IL (July 27, 2015): In celebration of this week’s Cthulhu All-Stars Summit event set to take place at Gen Con Indy on Saturday at Noon, Warpo launches their blog today with an exclusive feature written by Cthulhu expert Sandy Petersen, and a giveaway of the coveted Legends of Cthulhu Signature Series retro action figures.

In The Loneliest Cultist, legendary game designer and Cthulhu expert Sandy Petersen talks about discovering the world of H.P. Lovecraft in the 1960s:

(excerpt)
“When I was growing up, I had an experience which is rare today. I read the story Call of Cthulhu without knowing who or what “Cthulhu” was…As I read other Lovecraft stories from my pitifully small supply, occasionally Cthulhu’s name cropped up – the stories seemed tied together in a way I had never encountered before. A who group of authors referenced Lovecraft’s creations, giving Arkham, Yog-Sothoth, and the Necronomicon a cleaver patina of reality.”

In conjunction with the blog launch, Warpo is giving away a set of the Legends of Cthulhu Signature Series retro action figures, autographed by Team Warpo, as well as legendary artist Ken Kelly and sculptor Eddy Mosqueda. To be eligible to win the set, fans should share The Loneliest Cultist on their social media feeds with the hashtag #CthulhuIsComing. One winner will be selected on August 5, 2015.
