In the United States, during the 1920s, the Volstead Act forbids the manufacturing and sale of alcohol. Nevertheless, prohibition is going to represent a gold mine for smugglers who dare to challenge the authorities. From the hooligan to the respected politician, many people have tried their luck on this lucrative market, yet it remains a dangerous activity since the agents of the prohibition; the Prohis, roam around…

In Prohis, each player embodies a smuggler who tries to make a fortune by transporting illegal goods – a highly precarious activity since the other players have the opportunity to check your cargo or even seize it if they find suspicious items. You will need to bluff and negotiate to get past the authorities and make your way to fortune otherwise your goods might end up in the wrong hands and you’ll be sorry!

Horse & Musket: 28 mm Woodland Indians (24)

Native Americans had a familiarity with the countryside that proved invaluable for their White cousins over the years of fighting in North America. Their brutality in combat and cunning ability to adapt to their surroundings made them a useful ally and a threatening enemy. All the nations involved in the fighting in North America called upon the usefulness of the Indians to wage a new kind of warfare that greatly impacted the future of the United States.

The box set contains 24 highly detailed multi-part plastic miniatures representing more than ten different Native American tribes. The contents are suitable for assembling warriors indicative of the Indian tribes residing in North America during the 18th and early 19th centuries. Contents are the necessary parts to construct 24 Indians plus a myriad of weapons including short bows, muskets, ball-headed clubs and gunstock shaped clubs, tomahawks and knives plus various hair and headdress options.

Miniatures are supplied unpainted and assembly may be required.

Countdown to Gen Con 10 days Left Adventure a Week

Aug 022014

Another day gone only 10 days left. Where is the time going? Talk about an absolutely nuts day. It started at 4:45 in the morning. My boys had to march in the Football hall of Fame parade. Took the van in for repairs and I cooked dinner for my parents! I’m tired.

Today I’d like to chat about Adventure a Week. If you are a role player in the D20 world this might be worth your time. Every week they publish a new Pathfinder or D&D 3.5 adventure.I’m certainly going to look into it.

In March they finished the Rise of the Drow on Kickstarter. It puts the previous PDF’s into print. Plus the book puts some great people, like Owen K.C.Stephens, Jen Page, and Robert Gulver. to work on the stretch goals. I will admit I’ve never seen the PDF, but after seeing the art for the Kickstarter I really want to take an in depth look at the book. I mean it’s Drow and it has a mushroom forest. Something that I had started designing myself. I love the idea and maybe I’ll be lazy and use theirs.

They Currently have another Kikckstarter Snow White. An adventure for 6th -8th level characters in a fairy tale adventure. If it keeps climbing stretch goals we will see some great additions from Ed Greenwood, Wolfgang Bauer, and Jen Page. I would really like to see what Wolfang has planned for that deep and dark fairy tale magic.

Well it’s late and I’m exhausted. I fell a sleep three times typing this.

Til tomorrow take care

Innistrad Picks Part 3

While looking at green I have concluded that green is just kind of blah.  Now, I don’t mean that in a negative way.  Green in Innistrad is just so similar from card to card that only a few cards stand out.  We will get to those in a moment.  Green has a couple of recurring themes that happen too frequently.  They are +X/+X where X is number of creatures in your graveyard and werewolves.   They both happen so much that it waters them down.  I do not  really like the fact that Green is full of transforming cards, and I even dislike the trigger for them more.

On to the cards.
