Paizo Adds Adam Daigle to Game Staff

Popular freelance designer to become Pathfinder Adventure Path Developer

February 27, 2012 (REDMOND, Wash.) – Paizo Publishing announces the addition of popular freelancer Adam Daigle to its in-house game design and development staff, effective March 15. Daigle will work with Pathfinder Creative Director James Jacobs and Developer Rob McCreary on Paizo’s popular monthly Pathfinder Adventure Path campaign supplements, as well as other projects.

As a freelancer, I’ve loved working with this crew in helping to build the world of Golarion and Pathfinder Roleplaying game, but that pesky day job kept getting in the way of giving more,” said Daigle. “I’m thrilled to be able to accept this position to give my full attention to this fantastic game and its community. This personal life transition was partially facilitated by the sage words of Hunter S. Thompson, ‘When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.’”

I’ve worked with Adam for years already—he’s been a contributor to numerous Paizo products as a freelancer, from smaller works like Pathfinder Bestiary monsters to larger projects like Lost Kingdoms or big Adventure Path articles,” said Paizo Creative Director James Jacobs. “The imagination, skill, and just plain-old professionalism Adam brings to each of his assignments would in and of itself have ensured him a constant role in Pathfinder products to come, but now that he’s joining Paizo as a full-time developer, you’ll see his handiwork in every product we produce—particularly in the Adventure Paths, where his assistance and input will be most welcome indeed!”

The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game is a fully supported tabletop RPG, with regularly released adventure modules, sourcebooks on the fantastic world of Golarion, and complete campaigns in the form of Pathfinder Adventure Paths like Skull & Shackles and The Rise of the Runelords. The Pathfinder RPG is also compatible with the 3.5 edition of the world’s oldest roleplaying game.

For more information about Pathfinder, please visit paizo.com/pathfinder.

I think this is very exciting.  Adam has been doing work as a freelancer for sometime.   I haven’t seen all of it, but I have like everything I have seen.  Here is a link to his past work.

Chapter 6: “The Empty Throne” by Neil Spicer War has come to Minkai! As resistance rises against the Jade Regent’s tyranny, the PCs must escort their friend Ameiko to one final site—the Imperial Shrine on a hidden island in the capital’s harbor. Here, Ameiko and the PCs must seek the blessing of Minkai’s dead emperors if they hope to have a chance to liberate the nation, but even here the Five Storms and the Jade Regent have their influence, and hungry demons and ravenous ghosts must be defeated before the ancestor spirits of the empire will give their blessings. Only then can the PCs take the battle to the Imperial Palace and confront the Jade Regent and his allies in the Five Storms. “The Empty Throne” is a Pathfinder Roleplaying Game adventure for 14th-level characters. This volume concludes the Jade Regent Adventure Path, a sweeping quest that takes the heroes from familiar territory in Varisia all the way across the ice fields of the Crown of the World to distant Tian Xia, the land of the Dragon Empires. This volume of Pathfinder Adventure Path also features a gazetteer of the sprawling city of Kassai, capital city of the nation of Minkai. Extensive suggestions and support for GMs eager to continue their Jade Regent campaign beyond the end of the adventure are included as well, plus several new monsters drawn from Japanese mythology in the Pathfinder Bestiary, new adventures of Varian Jeggare and Radovan (stars of the Pathfinder Tales novels Prince of Wolves and Master of Devils) in the Pathfinder’s Journal, and much more!

The hive-mind here at Paizo has pulled out all the stops for Bestiary 3: we’ve opened up tattered books on mythology, scoured dusty tomes at the library, and written notes on cocktail napkins as we read our favorite classic pulp fiction and literature to bring you a cornucopia of creatures for your Pathfinder Roleplaying Game! Like both of our previous Bestiaries, these creatures will take your game to a whole new level, whether you’re using them as foes to strike fear into your players, allies to aid them, or new races for them to meet!
