Goming Soon

Guns of Galicia (GoG) uses the same core rules as Guns of August (GoA) to simulate Corp-level fighting on the Eastern Front in WWI. Game mechanics compensate for players’ 20/20 hindsight to encourage historically accurate play that makes “sense” in game terms while avoiding a “straight jacket” of special rules to enforce irrational play. Players maneuver corps and divisions through 9-mile wide hexagons in turns that span three days each. Chit pull activation along with modest movement point allowances generates a highly interactive game. Scenarios included are the 1914 Galicia campaign, 1915 Tarnow campaign, and 1916 Brusilov campaign.

Timeline: Historical Events

$ 14.99

JFK’s assassination, the 1st step on the moon, the last crusade… Can you put all these events correctly on the timeline? Each player is dealt the same number of cards. At the start of the game, a card is drawn at random from the stack and is placed at the center of the table with the date showing. This is the starting point for a timeline that will be gradually completed by the players. The first player then chooses one of his cards and places it before or after the card on the initial map. The player’s card is then turned over to show the date of the historical event. If it is correct, it stays in place. Otherwise, the card is discarded and the player must draw another to replace it. The more cards in the timeline, the harder it is not to make a mistake! The first player with no cards left wins.

The Spanish Tercios 1536-1704

$ 17.95 SRP

A mixed infantry formation made up of about 3,000 men armed with pikes, swords and handguns, the innovative and influential tercio or ‘Spanish square’ was the basic combat unit of the armies of Spain throughout much of the 16th and 17th centuries. Arguably the first permanent tactical formation seen in Europe since the Roman cohort, the tercio was the forerunner of modern formations such as the battalion and regiment. The variety of different weapons fielded in the tercio meant the Spanish infantry could resist opposing cavalry forces while overcoming every kind of enemy infantry deployed against them. Featuring full-colour artwork and photographs of rare items held at the Spanish Army Museum, this study covers the whole period during which the tercios were active, opening with the third Italian war between the forces of France and the Holy Roman Emperor and concluding with the final transformation of the Spanish tercios into regiments in 1704. Historical: Liberation of Terra I

$ 34.99 SRP

The Beginning of the End In 2766, decades of careful planning and manipulation finally culminated when Stefan Amaris wiped out the entire Cameron dynasty in a bloody coup. Rallying the might of the SLDF behind him, General Aleksander Kerensky immediately attacked Amaris’ Rim Worlds Republic, before turning his full fury against the Usurper’s “Empire,” launching one of the greatest military campaigns in Inner Sphere history. Historical: Liberation of Terra, Volume 1 describes the early years of the civil war that would ultimately bring about the final end of the first Star League. Covering the fighting from the coup itself to the bloody campaign for the Terran Hegemony, this book provides a hard look at the closing years of the Star League Era, and the fateful decisions that would eventually pave the way for centuries of Succession Wars to come.
